We are one of the largest clinical research facilities in the Midlands. Funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) the Nottingham CRF is based at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH).
From the heart of the city, we serve a catchment area of over 4 million people.
Since 2017 when we were first established, we have seen a 30% increase in cancer research trials because the Clinical Research Facility has provided the skilled staff, dedicated facilities and equipment to support our clinicians to successfully lead new research.
Over the last five years more than 40,000 people have taken part in over 460 research trials.
Key to our success has been our ability to attract significant extra investment in our research resulting in a 60% increase in experimental medicine income since 2017.
